Six Sentence Sunday #10

Welcome to my contribution to Six Sentence Sunday. My WIP in a contemporary romance tentatively entitled Swashbuckler. This week’s six are a continuation from the past two weeks-we’re in the middle of the novel and there has been a huge misunderstanding between Rodger and Rachel. They have run into one another unexpectedly at a restaurant in Costa Rica where Rodger was involved in a movie shoot.

. . . And don’t forget to visit all of the other amazing writers contributing to Six Sentence Sunday!

Finally, Rachel found her voice, “I had no idea you were still here,” she said, tilting her head defiantly.

“Well, I am, and now you’re here–just how the hell did you find me?”

As if she’d traveled all this way to find him?! “Rodger, good to see your ego’s still intact,” she answered, knowing she had to get out of the restaurant fast before her temper blew and she said something she could never take back. Rachel looked around the restaurant, for the first time noticing they were the center of attention; big surprise there.

“No, Love, just holding onto my dignity,” he answered. His face had become flushed; clearly he was barely holding his emotions in check as well.

  1. Loving the title, Swashbuckler — of course, I’m totally dreaming up images of hot musketeers 🙂
And this six..fab stuff! The chemistry between these too is smoking…and about to explode! Love it
