Six Sentence Sunday #19

I’m so sorry I didn’t visit other writers last week–I ended up in the ER with a horrible stomach, um, issue. Ended up being in the hospital for six days. Yuck. I’ll write more about it later-the things I learned. However, for now, on to much more luscious delights!

We pick up from last week with Rachel and Rodger who are in a cab at the end of their first dinner/date. It’s from my WIP (one of these days, I swear, it will be done), entitled Swashbuckler.

He could see the laughter in her eyes.

“But seriously,” she protested. “I need to get home and I don’t want to miss the last train.”

Rodger decided–he was not going to allow this woman to take public transit home. On his better days he was a gentleman and considered it bad form to allow his inebriated date to go home unescorted.

Especially such a delicious woman as this one.

Which brought him to another thought, he really didn’t want her to go home at all.

Here’s the link for prior week’s snippets from Swashbuckler, my WIP.
PLEASE go visit the other talented writers participating in Six Sentence Sunday!

  1. I love gallant men. Of course, he sounds like he has a wee bit of the nefarious in mind, but I guess we’ll just have to see! Sorry you were so ill, but glad you’re feeling better. Great six!

  2. LOL Well, at least he enjoys her company, inebriated as she may be. And being a gentleman, even on a better day, still pays off.

Hope your stomach’s doing much better. 🙂
