Snippet Sunday #9 Sexy Couch Potato

Sexy couch potato

This week’s snippet for Snippet Sunday and Weekend Writing Warriors, is from Swashbuckler, my contemporary romance that is still a WIP. It picks up a little further from where we left off last week. In the very early morning hours, Rachel had left Rodger asleep in bed while she dressed to go home. Now for round two. πŸ˜‰

Just as she picked up the phone to call for a cab, she felt Rodger behind her. His arms circled around her waist and she felt his nude body press against her. β€œWe’re not done,” Rodger growled in her ear, his need obvious. Without another word he started biting her ear lobe, his hands somehow finding their way underneath her blouse. She whimpered as his hands discovered her nipples through the satin of her bra, pinching and rolling them between his fingers. Leaning back, she let him support her weight as she became lost in the sensation of his hands on her body, every touch stoking that fiery need in her heart.Β

Β β€œCome here,” Rachel said and led Rodger to the couch.Β  She sat him down, spreading his legs apart, pushing his chest back.Β  β€œRelax,” she whispered.Β

  1. Sounds like he’s getting her attention and she’s taking care of business. Good snippet, Karysa. One thing: you repeat “his hands” three times in the first paragraph. I’d change the second one to “he” and change “he started biting” to “he bit”. It strengthens the writing and lets the reader flow with you. Nicely done. πŸ™‚

  2. Somehow he found his hands underneath her blouse? It may have been a mystery to her how he did it, but I get the impression he is somewhat expert at such things. πŸ™‚

  3. Hoo, glory! And to think, I almost missed out on this hot snippet because I fell into a daze while staring at the hunk in the photo! Sign me up for some more Rodger. πŸ˜‰
