Six Sentence Sunday 7/24/2011

Welcome to Six Sentence Sunday! I had so much fun last week and I can’t wait to give this another round. There are so many wonderful writers out there and I’m looking forward to reading their six sentences. . . . .Make sure to check them out and leave a comment.

Now here’s my pity plea–I have only 7 followers. Please help me double that number. Everyone who follows me by midnight, Sunday night, will receive the full scene that’s featured below (via email). I haven’t even shared it with my critique partners! The button to sign-up is at the bottom of this page, next to the lovely picture of Justin. THANK YOU.

Today’s Six Sentences pick up where we left off last week. This is a contemporary romance, tentatively titled Swashbuckler. It’s the morning after they have finally found each other again. They’re playful, yet cautious. Their attraction can’t be denied but so much has already come between them. I hope you enjoy!

. . . .“I thought you were asleep,” Rachel said, kissing his neck in response. Her fingers found his nipple again and she tweaked it, scraping her nail slightly over the sensitive skin. Rodger groaned, his cock perking up in anticipation to the signals going through the rest of his body.

“And I thought that you should get some sleep,” he responded as his hand slipped over her ass, gently massaging the cheeks and bringing his fingers closer to her heat. Rodger licked that lovely spot behind her ear and left a trail of lingering kisses down her neck. Rachel arched back her neck, giving in to the sensation of his lips. . . .

This is my Rodger.

  1. Hot six with great chemistry between the lovers! Much appreciation to you for following my blog. I don’t have too many followers–maybe because I’m unclear about how to follow, but I’m giving a try. Good luck with all your goals!

    • Thanks, Lynne. And thanks for the feedback on the chemistry between Rodger and Rachel. I was really surprised to see that you had only a few followers because I think your writing is great and your books sound fantastic! As far as getting followers, just ask! I’m only one person away from today’s goal–14. 🙂 Other ways to get followers are to host other bloggers, do book reviews, and do giveaways. Good luck! Looking forward to reading more of your sentences next week.

  2. The more I read, the more I’m dying to read. I love the play between them.

And if I did it correctly, I’m following you. When I clicked on your name to get to your blog, I see you’re one of my followers as well. Thanks for the follow. 🙂

    • Thanks so much. I love my couple and refer to them regularly as Rodger and Rachel’s Story. BTW, I have a good friend with your name, just spelled differently. It made me smile to see it.

  3. Loved this… Sorry I didn’t do SSS I actually finished my book last night. TOtally spaced SSS. It was great to finish though! I thought I was following you but I am going to make sure so I can get a copy! LOVE LOVE Rodger 😀

    • Good for you! I can’t wait to read it. I’m really proud of you, Jess.

Yes, of course I’ll send it to you. 🙂 It’s just too yummy to keep to myself-of course I’m the one who wrote it so I have no idea if it’ll be yummy for others. You’ll have to give me your honest opinion, ok?
